Inside Sales Specialist

Sales Department
T&L Nursery, Inc. is located 30 miles east of Seattle, in the Sammamish Valley, between Redmond and Woodinville. For over 30 years we have taken pride in producing the highest quality plant material for Garden Centers and Landscapers in the Pacific Northwest. T&L grows approximately 4 million plants of over 2500 varieties per year making us one of the largest and most diverse growers in the region. Despite these successes, we are still a small, privately-owned business with a focus on culture. We are currently in search of a self-starter who is experienced in providing excellent customer service and has a passion for plants! Industry experience is a plus!
At T&L, our Sales Department is at the center of fulfilling our Client’s needs from the nursery. Our Sales Team works to provide an exceptional service experience to our clients while helping them with online and in-person ordering and order fulfillment, invoicing and payments, communication about availabilities and seasonal promotions. Our Sales Team also represents the Marketing arm of our business by maintaining our plant availabilities, updated website and social media content, all branding-related needs both physical and digital, coordinating our open houses and events at conferences and more. The Sales Team is our public facing department at T&L, and we take great pride in our upbeat, positive and creative team here.

The Inside Sales Specialist role is heavily involved in supporting our onsite customers, as well as supporting the Sales Team in general.

Key Responsibilities


Inside Sales & Customer Service

•Ensure best possible experience for walk in customers
•Answer customer phone calls and email inquiries
•Receive customer feedback an distribute to appropriate channels
•Enter, process and post sales invoices for sales generated through front office
•Assist in management of pulled landscape orders to ensure timely pick-up
•Work cooperatively with in-house merchandising coordinator to provide excellent presentation of product for on-site customers
•Review orders for fulfillment issues and contact customers to resolve
•Review and clean-up orders in T&L’s order database
•Daily cash box reconciliation
Order Entry & Fulfillment
•Enter and assign orders to appropriate crops
•Train customers on best ways to use website, availability, and other order related tools
•Communicate with Shipping & Pulling departments for order changes and add-ons
•Work with Shipping to assist customers with delivery questions/issues
•Support outside sales staff

Flex
•Assist in fulfilling needs of other departments as directed (during Sales’ “off-season”)
oExamples include: Transplant, Propagation, & Order Fulfillment departments may need extra labor at certain times of the year
oCross training provided.

Skills & Abilities
•Minimum 1 year experience in similar role
•Preference given to Horticulture experience
•Excellent communication skills
•Bilingual in Spanish preferred
•Able to lift up to 30 pounds
•Possesses a strong attention to detail
•Organized, with ability to prioritize and track multiple projects at once
•Computer skills necessary in MS Office
•Works well both independently and as a part of a team
•Self-motivated
•Able to stand for long periods of time and work on feet as needed

Reports to: Sales Manager

Schedule: Monday through Friday, approx. 40 hours per week

Compensation: $20-23/hr. DOE
