Job Description

Rock Mountain Products is a Retail/Wholesale Garden Center and Landscape Nursery located in Redmond, Washington that specializes in natural stone, water features, pottery and bamboo. We strive to give consistent and personalized customer service to our customer base. At this time, we are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team. 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Customer Service: 

    • Provide consistent and professional customer service for all customer interactions.

    • Respond professionally and positively to any customer related issues.

    • Assist customers as needed with loading their purchases. 

  2. Sales:

    • Ability to walk customers through the product abilities/functions, answer questions and provide resources for additional information as needed.

    • Create quotes for customers for both standard and custom product needs.

  3. Product Inventory/Maintenance: 

    • Help maintain the appearance of the store.

    • Assist in tracking inventory to reorder and update physical counts for POS accuracy. 

    • Assist in restocking, organizing, setting up product displays throughout the Nursery. 

  4. Team Player:

    • Support coworkers as needed in all tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Reliable transportation/attendance.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Able to shift from multiple tasks as needed based on priority of each task.

  • Complete each task or communicate when not able to due to time restraints.

  • Self-motivated and able to find tasks that need to be completed.

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as lifting, standing for extended periods of time, and working outdoors in the cold/heat.

  • Excellent communication skills and high standard of professionalism.

  • Basic math skills.

  • English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and some college is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Google Documents, QuickBooks)

  • Related industry experience in construction/landscaping, i.e., stone applications, water features, etc.

  • Forklift Operator Experience beneficial, can be trained on site.

  • Spanish is beneficial but not required.

Hours: 

  • December-February: Monday-Friday (7:30-4:00)

  • March-November: Monday-Friday (7:30-4:30)

Compensation: 

  • $23.00-$28.00/hr. DOE

Two Week Trial Period:

  • To ensure a good fit for both parties, the trial period allows the applicant to feel comfortable about the position and gives Rock Mountain an opportunity to assess the skill level before committing to full-time employment.
