Installation Team – Landscape Construction Crew Member

Starting Salary: $20-$23/hr dependent on skills and experience, plus benefits: paid time off, health insurance, regular bonuses, continuing education allowance, retirement matching and discounts on plant materials (note: not all benefits are active from start date).

This position will work closely with the Installation Lead. An ideal candidate would be a highly organized generalist with experience in the landscape/building trades (stone, wood, metal, etc.) who can work independently and collaboratively to meet quality standards and deadlines. We are looking for a reliable and flexible person who values collaboration and good communication. This is a physically demanding job in the PNW.  We work year round, no matter the weather.  Regularly being able to lift 75+ lbs and have excellent stamina is required.

*Plant Structures (arbors, trellises, etc.) *Fences & Gates

*Steel Path Edging *Basic Drip Irrigation

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Landscape Installation: (90-100%) Keeping a positive attitude while doing all manner of skilled and unskilled labor (demolition, digging, hauling and setting stone, grading paths, carpentry projects, rain garden install, planting trees/shrubs/etc.).

  • Other tasks as needed

    • We are an ‘all hands on deck’ company and flex with the project needs. 

Desired Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Carpentry/Masonry/Construction Experience. Basic construction skills, knowledge of best practices for sustainable building; dry-stack retaining walls, pathways, gates and small decks.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to repeatedly lift 50-75+lbs, move heavy wheelbarrows, climb ladders, carry and secure tools.  We work outside no matter the weather.

  • Flexibility: We are a  growing company in an industry where no two days are the same, so being able to adapt on the fly is crucial.

  • Responsibility and Sense of Ownership:  We are accountable to ourselves, our co-workers and to the company as a whole. We build trust by doing what we say we’re going to do and taking pride in our work.

  • Time Management: We work within a budget so you will be required to manage time efficiently.

  • Clear Communication: Participate actively in creating a supportive work environment. We expect clear client notes, requests for materials, general project needs as well as clearly communicating with coworkers, including when things go wrong or we need help.

  • WA Driver’s License and Excellent Driving Record:  Experience driving trucks in town, parking in busy urban areas, backing up with heavy loads, occasionally pulling trailers, loading tools securely, etc.
