Outdoors By Design Inc is looking to add to our crew.

 We currently have two crew member openings, one in our Maintenance Department and one in our Installation Department.  Here at OBD we pride ourselves in providing high quality workmanship and superb customer service to our clients.  We like to do the job right the first time which has helped us gain such a fantastic reputation here in the South Sound.  We leave our job sites looking amazing for our clients, which in turn has our clients recommending us to all their friends.  OBD also prides itself on respect, not just for our clients, but for each other.  Providing a healthy working environment that you can look forward to going to each day.

Both of our job listings are for full time, year round work, M-F, 8-4:30.  We offer competitive pay starting at $18/hr and increasing with level of experience, paid time off and a retirement plan.  We currently service the following counties with the top two being our primary: Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor and lower Pierce.

Candidates are self motivated, respectful and able to provide excellent customer service.  Must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license, have the ability to lift 50+ lbs and reliable transportation.

Currently we are looking for the following:

Maintenance Crew Member:

While we do provide lawn care services, it is not our primary maintenance service.  Clients call us when they would like their perennials weeded properly and their shrubs pruned properly, not turned into topiaries. 

We are looking for an individual with landscape maintenance experience for high caliber landscape maintenance work.  Ideal candidates would have lawn care experience, practical plant practice knowledge, plant/weed identification, irrigation repair skills, able to spread soil/mulch and well-versed pruning skills.   A current spray license a plus!

Installation Crew Member:

Our install crew is a fast paced, high quality crew that takes a client’s humdrum landscape and turns it into something worthy of a magazine cover.  Candidates for this position must have experience in the following:  Irrigation system install, paver install, both block and rock wall install, outdoor lighting, lawn install, practical plant practices and soil/mulch applications.  Synthetic turf knowledge a plus!

Our highly skilled crews include several Horticultural Degrees and Certificate holders along with an EcoPro member.  While we would love to add your degree to our list of qualified holders, we are also willing to train the right motivated individuals.
