Organization: Hedahl Landscape Deck & Patio
Job Category: Landscape Crew Member
Job Type: Full-Time
Education Requirement: High School / GED
Hedahl Landscape is a small professional landscape/hardscape installation company in business for 23 years, with a focus on ecological/sustainable based design/installation practices with an organic-based lawn fertilization division that has a ton of growth potential. We are located on the Kitsap peninsula, and service Port Ludlow to Gig Harbor. Owner, Richard Hedahl, has a degree in horticulture, is a certified EcoPRO and Landscape Industry Certified thru NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) among other industry certifications. We are also Authorized and certified installers for Belgard and Allan Block. We would love to have another certified/knowledgeable individual on staff again!
We are looking for someone who has an interest in helping us grow our organic/safe lawn fertilization division. This would include mixing/spraying/applying liquid teas/fertilizers as well as some organic granular fertilizers and natural/EPA except weed control products on our customers lawns and beds. We currently use both truck mounted tank sprayers as well as hand application equipment. You would be responsible for filling out required record-keeping paperwork (we supply), and working solo or with another person depending on what is needing done. We also do some lawn topdressings, aeration and dethatching services you would be a part of. We do not mow lawns. This division has exponential growth potential, and we would love to have someone on board excited to help grow this division with us. Currently, we have a part time route, but this could grow into a full time route with the right person! In the mean time, we would have you assist on either our carpentry crew or landscape installation crew. If you already have a WSDA Pesticide Applicators Lic, that would be awesome! If you don’t, we will help you obtain one by purchasing study guides and reimburse you for the exam fees if you pass ( but you have to do the studying and actually pass the exam!)
We currently have two or three crew member openings on our Installation side. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outside and building cool projects, who is honest, takes pride in their work, who is willing to work solo and/or with a team, and has a cheerful attitude and willing to provide positive/sincere customer service. We happily provide nice/exceptional tools and equipment and a great work environment with competitive pay starting at $18/hr to $25/hr depending on what you bring to the table. Plus benefits and flexibility as needed. If you’re looking for a change or looking for a company who would be interested in your horticultural knowledge and skill, give a look. We also pay for and offer training/educational opportunities as well.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation a must. Drug free a must. Ability and willingness to lift 50+lbs and work in most weather conditions year-round (except freezing of course).
