Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, located at 18675 NE 106 th Street, Redmond, WA, has finished compost available for use by the community. The compost consists of horse manure and wood shavings that have been processed in Little Bit’s commercial composting machine. The result is a nice, dry product that is relatively free from weed seeds. Little Bit’s horses do not graze in pastures and the organization does not put leaves, grass clippings, or weeds in the composter. Little Bit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is providing the compost for free. The organization will gladly accept donations, however. Those interested should contact Executive Director Paula J. Del Giudice at PaulaD@LittleBit.org. Little Bit staff can load the compost with the organization’s front-end loader. For those looking for smaller amounts, it’s a do-it-yourself shovel job and bringing your own containers is essential. For over 46 years, Little Bit has provided equine-assisted services to children and adults with disabilities. For more information, go to: www.LittleBit.org
